We offer the services below:
  • Moss, Mould & Lichen Treatment
  • Replace Broken/Cracked/Chipped Tiles
  • Remove old ridge tiles and barge tiles and re-bed
  • Check all valleys to make sure they are rust proof, if not, replace rusted valleys
  • Re-coat
Note - If you choose to re-coat, It is fundamental to do a full restoration to ensure that all cracked/chipped/broken tiles are replaced and the ridgeline is rebedded and repointed.

The Process

  1. Moss, Mould, Lichen Treatment - This is advised to be done at least 4 weeks before job commences to ensure that the treatment has had enough time to sterilise the roof.
  2. Edge protection or Scaffolding will be installed around area needed.
  3. Repairs - Replace all cracked/chipped/broken tiles
  4. Ridgeline and Barges - remove old ridge/barge tiles, re-bed with sand and cement and then a flexible pointing paste. We will assess the quality of these and will advise whether we re-use or install new ones.
  5. Valleys - These are especially important in roofs due to the water flow. If your roof has valleys, these will be checked for rust and if needed all valleys will be replaced.
  6. Cleaning the roof - all roof area to be pressure washed so the tiles are 100% clean, ready for the coating stage. After the pressure washing stage we ensure that we leave the property just how it was prior to cleaning the roof. It is during this time that we also clean the gutters inside and out.
  7. Re-Coating
Firstly we apply the roof concrete sealer, this is crucial as it is the first coat that goes on the concrete tiles. The sealer completely seals the tiles and eliminates the porousness out of them, ready for the base coat to sit on top of this. Secondly the base coat, this can be applied in one or two applications depending on the roughness or condition of the tiles. This acts as a thick high build coating which takes away a lot of the imperfections out of the tiles.

Lastly, we apply the top coats. These come in a wide range of colours and in a satin or gloss finish. We apply 2 to 3 top coats, these are the finishing coats which make the roof look like brand new again.

  8. Once your roof has been completed, the edge protection / scaffolding is removed from site and we meet with you to go over the job, and sign off.

Give us a call today, we can’t wait to make your roof look like new again!
