Right from the start Andrew was professional and quickly on to the job. He responded immediately from our initial query and gave us a full assessment of the work that would have to be done. Because of the height of our roof we were going to need scaffolding which he promptly arranged.
He checked in with us all throughout the job let us know what and when things were happening. He had to work around changes in the weather and was thorough in preparing surfaces and then applying all the coats need to restore our roof to its former glory.

Andrew Wren was contracted to refurbish our metal tile roof that was 23 years old and the sun had bleached out the original colour that was only guaranteed for 15 years.
He undertook the work in late January early February in a very professional, competent and safe manner, certainly going beyond just re-painting the roof but also remediating any defects that he came across with his experience and knowledge of roofing in general and so improving the integrity of the roof overall.

We saw our roof in drone photos when the house next-door was for sale and were shocked at how bad it was. Andrew came to quote as soon as we rang him. He spent ages giving professional advice and explaining our options. But he put no pressure on us to give him our business. I was concerned that our house was two storey, on a sloping section and wrapped around a big swimming pool.
However, everything went so smoothly, and the finished roof looks like a new one. Andrew had warned us it may be messy when he removed the old coating, but he kept the whole place so clean and tidy throughout the job. He never went home at the end of the day without cleaning up completely. We loved his smiling, polite and unobtrusive manner and we enjoyed having him work around our home. Not knowing any local tradespeople, Andrew was recommended to me to resolve a known major roof leak on a home we purchased in Kinloch, Lake Taupo.
Andrew was a tremendous “find” as he spent time identifying and explaining the issue to us and promptly sent through an acceptable quote. During his initial inspection he also identified and discussed further remedial work that would provide peace of mind over the next few years, like a new modern sealing boot around the chimney flue, removing all the lead head nails and fixing with screw fasteners and replacing a small number of damaged roofing sheets.
He took the problem away from us and provided solutions.
Andrew arrived when he said he would and for 3 days worked non-stop to complete the repair to a very satisfactory standard and for the previously agreed quoted amount. We have now decided to “go all the way” and have asked Andrew to repaint the entire roof and guttering’s on both the house and garage with the 10-year guarantee paint product he specialises in applying over the early summer.
