Long Run / Metal Roofs Maintenance, Repairs and Coatings

  • Do you have roof nails sticking up on your roof causing leaks?
  • Have you got rust in places on your roof?
  • Are your flashings old and outdated?
  • Does your long run metal roof have badly damaged sheets?
  • Is the old roof coating looking faded and patchy?

These are all common problems that we at Wren Roof Coatings face. Lucky for you, we are trained and qualified to rectify these problems.
When we arrive to inspect your roof, we will safely access the roof area and do a full roof inspection. We will feed back the report to you and then forward a quote for the necessary work that needs to be done.

We offer the services below:
  • Moss Mould Lichen Treatment
  • Replace any badly rusted roof sheets
  • On older homes, we can install a wider ridge capping with flashing to suit
  • Re-screw Roof
  • Re-Coat

Note - If you choose to re-coat, It is fundamental to do a full restoration to ensure that all of the above has been taken care of so that your roof is water tight and protected for years to come.

The Process

  1. Moss, Mould, Lichen Treatment - This is advised to be done at least 4 weeks before job commences to ensure that the treatment has had enough time to sterilise the roof.
  2. Edge protection or Scaffolding will be installed around area needed.
  3. Repairs
    - De-nail the roof and re-screw with the appropriate roofing screws and washers if needed.
    - Replace old ridgeline and flashings on roof if needed.
    - Replace any rusted or badly damaged roof sheets
  4. Cleaning the roof - all roof area to be pressure washed so that it is 100% clean, ready for the coating stage. After the pressure washing stage we ensure that we leave the property just how it was prior to cleaning the roof. It is during this time that we also clean the gutters inside and out.
  5. Re-Coating
    - Any surface rusted sheets that dont need replacing will have a rust etch primer applied.
    - Prime the roof with an oil based primer or a water based galvanised primer depending on the surface.
    - Apply the top coats. These come in a wide range of colours and in a satin or gloss finish and we apply 2 to 3 top coats. These are the finishing coats which make the roof look like brand new again.

  6. Once your roof has been completed, the edge protection / scaffolding is removed from site and we meet with you to go over the job, and sign off.

Give us a call today, we can’t wait to make your roof look like new again!
